The recently formed Noordhoek Football Club has managed to attract the attention of the Belgium based KVC Delta Londerzeel, so much so that they have formed a 5 year partnership with Noordhoek FC providing sponsorship to assist in the development of the football club.

KVC Delta Londerzeel is based roughly 25K from Brussels and has been in existence since July 1937, it has a long history of being a family and community based club. It saw an opportunity to link to a club with the same ethos and commitment to youth development and training.

Noordhoek Football Club was started in September 2009 by a group of committed people who saw the need for a club that could offer opportunities to all the people of the valley. As members of the Cape District Football Association they have achieved great results for all their members, from Under 9’s to Over 40’s.

"Exciting things are happening at Noordhoek Football Club" says Chairman Gascon Human, as our relationship with KFC Delta means that we can take our top junior players to Belgium, giving them an opportunity to see how things are done over there and expose them to a European team, who knows what may come out of that.

"We also hope that KFC Delta will come out to Noordhoek and play a game with us, there are initial talks about a tournament but it’s early days."

Linking up with KFC Delta has already shown huge benefits to the club. “We have just received a shipment of kit, balls, boots and training aids from Belgium which are desperately needed for the new season” says Human. The facilities at NFC have also been upgraded for this season, the club house has been extended and a fresh coat of paint applied throughout.

The grounds have also been given a chance to recuperate and are looking good for the season ahead.
